WordPress plugins for accessibility testing
We do not specifically endorse any of the plugins listed here but offer them as tools for you to test and use in your own accessible WordPress site.
Criteria for inclusion:
- The plugin must have a free level of service that does not require registration and provides enough functionality to be testable by the WordPress Accessibility Team
- The plugin must be primarily dedicated to accessibility testing
- The plugin must not provide overlay functionality that cannot be fully disabled.
- The plugin must have an accessible admin interface
- The plugin must have been updated within the last year
Warning: Note that while many plugins in the WordPress plugin repository are overlays or widgets, none of those are listed here. The WordPress Accessibility team does not recommend the usage of accessibility overlays.
