WP Accessibility Day

WP Accessibility Day is a streamed conference featuring twenty-four hours of free accessibility content, focused on WordPress and content management. Talks range widely across all aspects of accessibility, from the most basic to deep dives on difficult topics. All talks from previous years are archived and captioned. Talks from 2023 forward also include American Sign Language interpretation. Translations of past talks is in progress.

WordPress Accessibility Meetup

The WordPress Accessibility Meetup is a global group of WordPress developers, designers, and users interested in building more accessible websites. Join us twice per month for meetups on a variety of topics related to making WordPress websites that can be used by people of all abilities.

Inclusive Design 24

Inclusive Design 24 (ID24) is a streamed conference featuring twenty-four hours of free accessibility content, ranging from basic accessibility to advanced topics. Almost all talks include detailed examples of how to solve a particular problem accessibly, along with general advice for designers, developers and accessibility advocates. All the talks from previous years are archived and captioned.

Sometimes, what you’re building doesn’t have an already-available accessible pattern on the web. In cases like these, it can be helpful to consult someone who works day-to-day in the accessibility field in order to save yourself the pain of having to figure it out all on your own. There are a few resources you may find helpful.

The WebAIM mailing list

The WebAIM mailing list is a long-running community forum for everyone who wants to grow in their accessibility journey, from beginner to expert. The archives span decades, and are available to search through. if you need to find the solution to a problem, or need help creating one, and you don’t know what question to ask when searching the archives, list members are very friendly and always willing to help, without judgment.
